Glad that they like the roaches and are getting back on track. I would recommend that you start your own roach colony so that you can keep this colony fed if it's the only protein that they eat. Roaches are quite expensive to buy and take a while to become a sustainable colony so the sooner you start the better it will be. They are fairly easy and low maintenance. I can create a guide on how to keep them if you want. Yeah that will be helpful.
They can go thou about 4 a week but they do seem happier now and colony's growing, No turning on one another.

Tapping to summon help or communicate with other members of a colony seems to be common among many ants, as my Camponotus nicobarensis colony did this behaviour when they were living in Jenny's room. As they did this a lot at night it used to keep her awake with the noise.

Should film them when they do that.

The Messor babarus colony is looking very nice. Did you order a normal Queen but recieved a red one? or did you get a specifically red one?

Polyrhachis beccarii look like a bit of a pain to keep, but they show some interesting behaviours and look stunning.

Polyrhachis beccarii look like a bit of a pain to keep, but they show some interesting behaviours and look stunning. There are a pain to find the right foods, Not at all like other ants that eat anything almost.
The right sugar is a pain to find for them too as they live mainly on syrup sugars and I dint know there are sensitive to different types and honey can kill them as they weirdly get drunk by it or sends them in a weird state of them not controlling there legs right and end up upside down on there backs not going any where and cannot get back on there front right even if you help them but after some hours if not extorted them self's to death and live are back fine again like nothings happened and colony not turning on them

Wood Ant had a colony of Polyrachis with 7 queens, but they all died off fast in his journal.

Wood Ant had a colony of Polyrachis with 7 queens, but they all died off fast in his journal. The problem with Polyrachis, Is keeping them at right temperature, Unlike other ants this colony seems to hate it damp or wet there nest.
The queen right now is not percussing any eggs what I can see and works will soon die off one by one so this colony for a colony is on a time limit if she don't have eggs or larvae

Tetramorium have a tenancy to curl up/ appear dead however are entirely fine! I've observed the same with my Tetramorium simillimum; they'll even carry the queens too!

Hey Shane, in relation to your ventator's, if I'm not mistaken, its highly unlikely the other two worker ants will become fertile egg laying queens. I do believe, if there is a gamergate present before them, that they strip them of the thing that allow them to lay fertile eggs (I cannot remember the scientific name).

You maybe right there's only 1 worker left now.

I don't see the chilensis colony for sale, did you order it special? Yes just over a month ago. I just misted out when Woody and Nova got there's so I order a colony. I think Chris said there was another 2 reserved.
