The temperature has soared again to 27 Celsius today, bringing out lots of flies around our wheelie bins. Jenny has swatted 11 so far, and our ants take these flies like a tasty delicacy. The flies are not always killed by swatting, but ants love taking down prey food that still kicks a bit as it presents a challenge. This heat is good for bringing out flies, just make sure they are immobilised enough to stop them being able to fly off and escape. Then leave your ants to do the rest. Good fly hunting.
