Its like that Killer Ants film.  Observing that video, Fire ant queens must lay a LOT more eggs than our little Lasius species. |

30,000 individual ants in a colony of just one queen would require a pretty large ant farm to keep these ants in  It probably wouldn't put me off keeping them if I could be sure they would never escape, as 70% of our ants are in Jen's bedroom, with another 25% in our kitchen/dining room ;D |
