Hello all, I was looking in a flower bed this afternoon and I found 1 winged female digging in the soil She had a few ants with her so I suspect she has had a late flight I have her with 2 other ants in a testube but I don't know what to do next? Streule

The chances are with her wings still attached, she may be unmated

I have to agree with Jenant, and since she is accompanied by workers, I assume she's being guided back into the nest. Maybe she wandered outside and just got found.

Hello Jen, I found the female 3cm from the surface and there was no other queens near her, under her and with her so I wonder why she was all alone Thanks Streule

It might be that for some reason she was unable to take off, or that weather conditions changed and she was left behind.
