I have many pets that snare my interests. Aside that of my Rubra and Niger my next main interest is my Pond. It measures 15 feet x 12 feet with shelves of 18 inches deep to a maximum depth of 3 feet 8 inches.
I have a clip on youtbe where I am feeding them with red Maggots and wish to share it with you all. Any comments welcome.
My pond contains:
Koi Carp--Ghost Koi and Golden Koi--Mirror and Common Carp. Golden and Green Tench. Shabunkins. Roach upto 1lb. Bream upto 1/2lb. Golden Rudd that breed like the clappers. 1 Perch--secretly put in by my Son. 4 Tiger Loaches. and of course finally Goldfish.
In addition there are at least 28 Newts, 2 Frogs and a Gazillion Toads.
Oh and they are really fuzzy eaters. If it isn't Hovies sensations bread they don't want to know.

I enjoyed the activity in your pond you have some fine fish there. It was very relaxing watching them whilst eating my breakfast this morning

That's very nice! I've only got a small pond with some goldfish in it. It's always relaxing to watch fish. We keep tropical fish in our dining room, and its easy to end up watching them for hours.

Hi my name is Scott , I just joined the site . I used to work at a koi farm , and so also have a passion for keeping and looking after koi . Unfortunatly I have moved into a flat and not been able to have a pond although I do have a 2m tank with several different fresh water fish in . Oh and your koi look nice and happy being fed lol
