I have placed an order for a colony of this species with PeterGW, as I know he is a nice reliable ant seller based here in Britain, in Chester to be exact. Apart from being a tropical ant, I imagine they can be kept much the same as other Pheidole from the USA or Europe, as all ants of this genus come from warm countries; but some can tolerate being not too hot, as my own Pheidole pallidula thrive without extra heat. I would think a bit of extra warmth will be needed to keep P. indica happy and thriving when it gets cold though, so avoid very low temperatures. Subfamily: Myrmicinae Genus: Pheidole Distribution: India, Japan, China and other countries in that region. ant.edb.miyakyo-u.ac.jp/E/Taxo/F40603.html
