I don't know about you, but we are finding Crane flies (Daddy long legs) every where. There seems to be more of them this year, so Wood has been feeding them to his ants as they love them! I like spiders, but these things have a habit of dive bombing your head, especially when you lie in bed. They make that buzzing sound and you are never quite sure in the dark where they are Urhhh they give me the shudders

Cranefly have venom? I didn't know that. As far as them being pointless goes, I guess they are like many other inverts in that they provide a bottom link in the food chain

www.the-piedpiper.co.uk/th6g.htmThey just seem to chase you around the room, I also had one fly into my face as I washed up One of the experts on the TV reckoned they were only around for 3 days, but it feels like a lot longer than that They are going down a treat with Woods ants!

Our cat will chase daddy long legs all around the room, and then proceed to eat them They can't taste of much or have much meat on them surely I suppose it makes a change from eating a mouse!
