For the past 2 years we have had our boiler fixed with various different parts of technology, and each time the engineer has left it works for either a few months, a few weeks or even sometimes only a few days It has been working fine heating our hot water all through the year; but as last night we had a fairly heavy frost here in southern England I decided to turn on the central heating to make sure it was working ready for the winter ahead. It fired up for all of 17 seconds, then cut out with a flashing red warning light and a fault reading on the display. So now we have no heating and no hot water, which means boiling a kettle to wash with and no bath. It's a good job I have an electric shaver or I might just end up with a beard. Jen phoned the housing company and they are sending another repair man tomorrow morning, but as the last guy to service this blasted thing said a couple of months ago, the make of boiler they use in another town where he comes from is far better and has a lot less problems, and he said with all the trouble we've had with this one the housing corporation should fit a new one if it keeps going wrong so often. I know what I'd like to say about the boiler, but my lips are on the matter
