Could you quickly answer the other two questions I had? And I've got five cocoons in a little container, and they aren't moving. I don't know if they are alive. I checked if they were alive before I put them in there and now they are no longer moving!

If they were moving, they are NOT cocooned pupae, but larvae. They are not moving because they are resting. The picture below shows what cocooned pupae look like. Attachments:

Oh God, will the queen still accept them?

Phew, I thought that I would have to throw them away.

Yes, they do look like that! I checked if they still moved after I dug them up.
And when the queen that Shane sent to me arrives, I'll make a different post. Can people help me get her ready for her set up? And help me get the tank ready? And how do you post an image here?

And do the larvae need air?

The larvae have moved into a corner. Well, the pot is circular, I guess there is no corner. But they are all huddled up, is this normal?
Please reply, I'm worried.

you probably will not take notice but in my opinion you should put the larvae back in the nest you fond them and catch some more when the queen arrives and also when the queens in her test tube you should put the honey with a little bit of water then put that in a bit of bread then put that on a tear of tin foil and bend it to the shape of the test tube then place in hope it helps

Don't worry, I value all opinion. So why should I catch some more larvae when she arrives, what's wrong with the ones that I have?
And according to Shane, she should come tomorrow! I'm so excited, this is my first hobby in three years!

Hm, it's been three days. I think she's arriving today, if she doesn't then I'll get rid of the current larvae and find some more once she's here.
And I was going to say that they are still not moving. Mail has not turned up yet, so she could be coming today!
