Hi, I will be in vacation from the online world for about a week (at least I'll try ), so I wanted to wish you all (humans and insects alike) a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Happy holidays

Happy Xmas and New Year to you too I think most people will be pre-occupied over the coming week We are having an ex large chicken this year, get a bit fed up with turkey and thought we would have a change this year The dog and the cat started to get excited as soon as I took it out of the freezer to thaw out I am on holiday from Sunday, which makes a change for me not having to work at Xmas. I am looking forward to not go out all the time.

Merry Christmas. I am surprised at the speed with which December is passing.

Well, Christmas Eve already. Time certainly flies by these days, although I am still waiting for a package which was supposedly sent from a company in London on the 15th of this month; and guess what, it still hasn't arrived. It was meant to be for my birthday back on the 16th, so if it doesn't arrive today it won't even be a Christmas present Never mind, I've just spotted our post lady with the long blonde hair coming down on her bike. She has a red santa hat on, and in her red coat and dark blue trousers, she looks very like a female Father Christmas, or perhaps his wife anyway. I wouldn't mind finding her in my stocking for Christmas, but I think Jen would object to my having that kind of present ;D Hope you guys who want ants or other ant related stuff get what you want for Christmas. So have a good one, don't overdo the drink and food if you wish to avoid indigestion, or worse; and stay calm when all around you may be losing it, as it is a time for peace and goodwill after all is said and done.

We are told to eat 5 fruits and/or vegetables a day for our health, but who can afford to at todays prices. Christmas is about the one time we over indulge, but maybe we should save a few packets of dates and boxes of chocs for January, as it is often much colder than December and a really depressing month when nothing special happens. So party on dudes, but remember your health is more important than stuffing yourselves full of Christmas cheer with excesses of food and booze.

Well, I've got my "bah humbug" hat on. Yesterday Jen and I watched a Christmas Carol starring Alistair Simms, and today we will probably watch the Patrick Stewart version as well as we love this Charles Dickens novel; and to be honest I haven't seen a bad movie version of it yet, as even the Muppets movie starring Michael Caine was good.
The new Jim Carrey animated Disney movie is brill, as he sounds very much like Alistair, just a bit more manic at times. So to everyone I say, A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL, AND GOD BLESS US AND SEND US A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
