Chinese people call it "Dairy cow ants" these pics show a queen and replete workers of the species Prenolepsis nitans. This ant is another of the Honey Pot Ants.

He did it experimenting with a sheet of glass and a completely black background apparently. You have to admire the way he has put the light in the right place to give the best effect and depth of field. Brilliant photo.
