The flavus queens now have cocooned pupae as well as other brood, so these girls are well on their way to founding colonies very soon.

I ve got a final date for when I will be ordering them Thursday this week. Sorry for the delay but we've had to spend most of the money on other things.

Hi Wood,
Do you still have any of the flavus left? I just googled them and they look great.

Thanks jenant neil To some degree yes, as if they are kept in soil set ups they will dig down into the soil; but all soil dwelling ants do this, it is just that flavus may not always forage on the surface unless it is during the hours of darkness. Most other ants forage on the surface during the day, but less so at night when it may be too cool for many ant species.

I would like to say that I am fed up with some members, as they send me a PM saying they wish to order ants from me and will I reserve them, then they say they are not going to get them from me.
I will not be selling any more ants on the forum, as I may be getting some very cool Messor species very soon; but I will offer these to my trusted friends for free rather than be given the run around.
Any queen ants or colonies I have will be given away or freed into the wild, as I am now so annoyed by a few of you who are just not to be trusted.

In fact I won't be collecting these species next year, as it is not nice to be given the run around so many times. One minute people want then they don't, then they want again. Indecisive people drive you mad! The flavus, can be freed, as well as the nigers into our garden where they originated.

I have just 1 Lasius niger colony remaining (queen, 7 workers and brood). If anyone wants this colony it is going for just the cost of P&P which is £5.
