Sorry to hear the queen is dead, and the surviving workers will die off as they will not accept another queen. Don't be put off as you can always get a new colony later to replace the loss of this one, as they are a species worth keeping when you do get a large healthy colony going.

I've already ordered another queen this is definitely my favourite species. Watching how fast they expand and the difference in sizes of the workers amazes me. My girlfriend was getting sick of me constantly mentioning how I cannot wait for spring and to see this colony come out of hibernation but at least I can follow your journals to get my fix and hopefully my new queen will do well I'll just know next time to not put them in the shed for hibernation!.
