After a failed attempt with a sling which escaped! I've decided to get a Juvenile instead. Here He/She is!

I wonder where the other Fly sling went to? It reminds me of a very old TV commercial for a toothpaste brand, which featured a catchy song with these lyrics. "You'll wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent."

19/07/2014 - 09:54 All went well last night. It looks like if he/she has wondered around a little last night. I've put in a water bowl in this morning as I've neglected to do yet. Can't let that tarantula get thirsty now She/He is still out in the open not doing much, I might try and attempt to feed it later, but it may be too early yet.

I've fed Fly twice yesterday, and once this morning. Seeing as the maggots I'm feeding it are small. I can't get Crickets until tomorrow.
So What I'm doing is feeding it once in the morning and once in the evening as it's a fast growing tarantula. Looking forward to the day it malts!

They only say feed a couple of times a week, as they can burst from over feeding.

All is still well. Fly has moved again to a smaller burrow. She/he has also built some sort of wall structure on the entrance to the burrow. Looks like bits of wood.
Getting some black crickets today and might start gut loading them ready for Wednesday's feed.

Here's some latest Pictures of "Fly" I've also made it a new nest which I'm hoping it would move in eventually.

It's massive already! Mine just runs away from live food and buries itself.

It's massive already! Mine just runs away from live food and buries itself. Yeah. I've been power feeding it up until this day so that it has enough mass for it's next malt, then I'll take it easy on it's feed then. I'm looking into getting another T soon.

I will be adding a WiFi IP Camera in the T's enclosure on Wednesday so I can keep tabs on Fly whilst I'm away. It's night vision also with infra-red sensors and motion detection. I'm hoping to see some movement in the night when it's most active. It would be useful if it ever moults during night time also

Fly has now burrowed completely at the point where I can't see it any more. Fingers crossed, my new IP Camera will be able to catch a glimpse of it in action throughout the night!

@joshjw
The heatmat is located beneath the storage box where I'm keeping the T. It can raise the temperature from 23C to 24.5C within the hour, and 24.5C to 26C in 2 hours. But I like to keep it above 24C to keep it's growth rate at it's maximum.
It will be extremely useful in the summer.
The heat meat is only 28 Watts.

Still no activity for nearly 2 weeks now. Has been burrowed ever since. When I'll see it I don't know.
