Earlier in the year I put about 15 queens in together, now they have workers and loads of brood also I put a M.Barbarus nymph in there and they accpeted it and now is runnning about, lol quite funny the size difference ;D
The fact you put 2 such distantly related species astounds me! I couldn't get L. neoniger to accept any other workers. Great job, I would recommend putting in a few more Messor pupae, the Messor worker will for sure accept them, then you can have a colony with Lasius and Messor, that would be astounding.
