I have noticed lately that there is a lot of new members joining the forum, which is always good news! I am just wondering, what is the current situation with ant keeping as a hobby, especially in the UK. Is it gaining more popularity and more new comers or still the same as it always was? America and Germany seem to have a large uptake in ant keeping, compared to other countries. ( Tar Heel, Ants Canada and Antstore help! ) Maybe 'The ant shop' can lead in the UK?! In other hobbies, like Reptiles and Tarantulas, they must be on the rise, as I notice a lot of supplies coming in, more than ever...

I just hope with an increase interest in certain insects and reptiles, it doesn't encourage bad collecting and selling? This would put them endangered in the wild.

Now that the 'Ant Man' has been released we should start to notice an increasing amount of new ant keepers globally.
