New puppy

I have a new puppy, he's a whippet. Cost me a lot of money and is taking up all my limited time at the min haha. Trying to toilet train etc etc as he's come straight from kennels. 15 weeks old, my chihuahua is not so keen on him!

Your Chihuahua is feeling threatened, and is trying to demonstrate where it stands in the pack. I am rather hoping you are going to say the Chihuahua is a bitch? as they will get on far better than 2 dogs. We had problems with 2 males, but nothing with a dog and 2 bitches. Make a fuss of the older one, and not so much of the younger one in front of the older one, they do get jealous like kids Difficult with a pup as they let them go too late, I was glad to get ours at 8 wks, as you have that extra training known as the 8 to 12 weeks puppy window for socialising. The puddles everywhere will soon stop, if they had let him go earlier, he would have stopped puddling round 10 weeks and learnt to go on pads/newspaper, and on grass. Carpet to them is grass also Have fun Jeoff!  He has lovely brindled markings.

My favourite breed! Won a few prizes showing my whippet at country fairs back in my early teens! Good choice!

My family have always had greyhounds, as pets and trained to race. I've always wanted a whippet, he's such an affectionate dog. They are a pair of boys, hopefully the older dog will come round. I still make a lot of fuss of him.

My dad still has greyhounds.
