they constantly move the brood pile, I was lucky to catch them in there new nest set up as they seem to like to nest in the tube I keep dark like on my mix video, which starts showing there nest at 0:47/2:32
The soil nest set up from there last nest they just keep blocking it and nesting in tube which then I known they like a dry nest like my messor's then once I did that the brood troubled. ================================ ================================

Looking at the new video and photos of the brood, I get a feeling this colony could get big very quickly? I'm thinking that the egg to pupae takes about same as my messors, The workers don't live that long as well just over a month and they die as that's another indication colony is going to be big.
I read somewhere that workers of this species live from 3 to 6 months, so it may be how hot (or cold) you keeping the colony shane? It looks like the red headed morph strain was found in southern India. Read more here.

Read more here.There was 2 more works dead this morning, The small medias only live 4 to 5 weeks, Maybe the bigger works live for long but they life span in short but there develperpment is fast.

I've also found out the works heads darken from pupae yellow to orange to red to dark red to brown as they age like messor majors do.
