Slightly later than estimated, but the first worker of 2020 has eclosed! It's time for this colony's numbers to start rising again.

I'm very sorry to say that the queen has died, leaving a number of workers but no brood. A massive shame since this was one of my favourite colonies.

Sorry to hear that, my colony is still small but the queen has laid 10 eggs and there is a few larvae. Sadly there was no brood, but if there was I would've sent it to you. I'll certainly try again with this species one day. I think part of the reason for my colony's decline was the excessive amount of rubbish they stored in half the nest's chambers. There was no way of cleaning it out.
