I would like to say thanks to those members who take the time to create journals about the ants they keep. This goes for the novice keepers who are just starting out with the hobby, and the more skilled long term ant keepers who are keeping ants some of us either cannot afford, or don't have the room or experience to keep more exotic ants. This is not meant to sound patronizing, but it is you guys who help us to gain knowledge about ant species many of us in the hobby may not even know exist, or have limited knowledge and the necessary skill to keep ants which require more specialist care. I myself have come a long way since my childhood, when all I knew about ants was black and red ants; but today I am amazed at just how many ant species and genera there are, and how lovely many of these ant species are, which is why I tend to keep as may different species as I can afford and have room for in my home. I am really looking forward to reading all of your journals; and of course those made by the more adventurous ant keepers who buy ant species some of us would prefer perhaps not to keep for various reasons. So this is why I cannot thank you guys enough, as you are keeping this forum alive with the help you provide about keeping ants in the journals you make here.
