I have left her with some workers, but two times she encountered a worker and got scared and really tryed to flee so I moved her n a test tube. then I've tried again, same result.

I could try again, or try to add her some brood of my Lasius niger colony, as the eclosed workers will surely accept her

I just found a new queen ! she looks more like Lasius to me but I don't know. She is bigger than the small queen I caught yesterday (the Lasius umbratus one wich is smaller and skinnier ). This is starting to get weird everytime I go outside I look down around my house, and usually I find at least one queen, but I have never found another queen outside my yard, I've been to the woods a number of times looking for queens on the way but I always find them around my house

I will release the Lasius umbratus, if anyone wants the queen I can ship her to you but she needs a host colony

Looks like a Lasius niger to me. Definitely not Formica and I doubt she is another genus as she doesn't look like Tapinoma.

Ok ! I went outside and caugth more queens I think I have found 3 Lasius niger queens I also have 6 new cunicularia queens (I think) but they still have their wings and they are trying to pull the cotton they want to escape so I'm not sure if they are mated or not. could I introduce the Lasius umbratus queen to one of the Lasius niger queen ?

The Lasius flavus from ants-kalytta has one of her legs broken :/ she has trouble moving and making a 180° turn but she has more eggs. I hope she will be fine ! I hope the workers will arrive soon to help her.

The formica cunicularia now has cocoons soon the nanitics ! the other two cunicularia have eggs and pupae, they are still available for sale The 11 Lasius niger queens are doing fine, they all have eggs One of the cunicularia will arrive today at Jeoff82's house with an unindentified Lasius queen, he will take better pictures to see what she really is but her little size has caught Jeoff's eyes. The two Lasius niger colonies are exploding in numbers and the rubra colony I don't see much activity as they are in a natural set up, but it begins to concern me, I saw more activity in the past than now..

Unfortunately both ants have arrived dead, smells like they have gased themselves. The Lasius queen is not Lasius niger nor flavus. Maybe alienus, I will try and key her later today.

At least I know now to not send Formica queens with other ants as she may gas everyone.. If someone wants a Lasius niger queen with brood to start a colony tell me, they are free and I have plenty of them here are the queens (if you, reader, see a queen that seem to you not a Lasius niger queen, please tell me) : Same cuetip each time for size comparison 1 2 3 4 5 6 µ 7 8 9 These ones are relly bigger in size and black not brown but I'm not sure if they are niger or not. 10 11

I have found new queens I have never seen any queen like them ! they look like myrmicinae to me. They are small and slim not at all like Lasius. Maybe Solenopsis fugax ? There is one queen that seem to be of another species of the others. Any help for the identification would be greatly appreciated first queen : Second queen : Third : Fourth : Fifth :
Sixth : This one looks different but it also very small, just a tiny bit bigger Thanks a lot for the help

Agreed. Could she possibly be Lasius fuliginosus?
