Jenny has been out swatting greenbottles on our local dog bin. A big fly was killed, but before she could put it in her collection pot, a wasp flew down, grabbed the fly and flew off with it like a chinook helicopter transporting a lorry, as it grasped it between its legs. So instead of the fly becoming a tasty meal for our ants, it has now been taken as a meal for wasp larvae. Time for the wasps to watch out, as they might just become ant food too, cheeky blighters.
