Today, this two queen colony of Pseudolasius cibdelus arrived from Antsrus. There's 30-50 workers, although no majors yet. There's just two eggs but hopefully that'll change! When they arrived my first thought was that the two queens seem much smaller than the queen of my other Pseudolasius colony, meaning they might well be a different species altogether. After consulting with Chris we think that this colony is definitely P. cibdelus and that the other species, which Wood has also kept, is P. similus. I can only guess that Mierwinkel's supplier was mistaken? But it's not as though this genus is widely kept. Anyway, here is the colony! I originally bought this colony to compare with the other Pseudolasius colony's growth, but it looks like I now have two species. Let's hope they do well! As always comments and feedback are more than welcome.

Here's a comparison photo of the two kinds of Pseudolasius queens, with this colony at the top of the photo. They're settling in okay and taking some sugar water and a few cricket legs.
