Hopefully my Queen will have her out world delivered soon as she has been trying to squeeze her way past the cotton wool to try and exit the test tube.

Her outworld came today, apart from some Sphagnum Moss, the rest of her out world I've left it bare apart from food, water and her test tube, last time I checked she was investigating the moss, climbing over it and going through it,I just hope she goes to tend to her larvae soon.

I gave my Queen a cockroach today,it was massive so I decided to cut it in half for her,for some reason though she prefers to have her larvae feed of mealworm.

Well I just checked up on her,she has moved the back end of the cockroach to the entrance of her test tube and there are larvae feeding of that and she has moved one of the cockroaches wings into the back of the test tube and larvae are feeding of the wing to,so all in all the cockroach has been a big success.

She is doing well and has laid some more eggs, also all her larvae has cocooned,I will get more vids/photos when I can but I don't want to disturb her too much, although natural light doesn't seem to bother her.

Due to the hot weather I carefully cleared the exit of her tube from old food then placed a small bit of wet cotton wool at the entrance as I have read that the eggs could dry out, only to wake up and find that she had removed the wet cotton wool out of her tube and pulled some food back into the entrance of her tube,I hope she knows what she is doing.

This is a quick update video of how my Queen is doing, sorry it is a short video, but I don't want to risk stressing her out too much in case she starts eating her brood

She has started leaving her food at the entrance of the test tube rather than dragging it to where her brood is,hopefully she has just decided to feed her larvae by trophallaxis

Hopefully she will have her first workers soon,in the video you can see her moving her cocoons around, and if you look carefully it looks like one of them opens an eye which to me is really cute.
