I've had a 2 year break from ant keeping as my partner and I adopted 2 boys and knew there'd be no time to tend to ants. Anyway, a member from here, took my colonies off my hands and I haven't really thought about ants since then. When I last kept ants I had several colonies.. messor barbarus, camponotus ligniperda, pheidole pallidula, myrmica rubra and of course Lasius niger. I think my ant obsession was beginning to get out of hand!
I've just ordered a new Messor barbarus from Anthouse and am very excited to be returning to the world of ants. I'm sure I've got a lot to catch up on and look forward to rediscovering the forum.
