Any comments you have on my Lasius Niger colony are always most welcome, especially if you have suggestions and/or advice .

Messor barbarus get up to all kinds of antics, such as this girl doing a spot of weeding. Weeding her garden. Photo taken by Jenny, my wife and administrator of this forum. Also this photo taken by Jenny. Red headed Messor barbarus major workers. Sorry I've not posted pics of Lasius niger on your comments thread Joshua, but as you don't have a Messor barbarus colony yet I thought you might like to see these.

Thank you for the links to the pictures, Wood Ant. I really enjoyed reading your old journal entries, they clearly provided great entertainment. I cannot say I am too enthusiastic about the prospect of a bite from a major worker as you experienced first hand. I especially like the picture of the two major ants. This is one reason I really want a Messor Barbarus colony so I can see the different caste of ants at work. I appreciate the pictures of the Messor Barbarus, it gives me something to do whilst playing the long game convincing my partner to let me keep them.
