Yeah hello, as the title states I am from Finland, from Espoo to be more precise
I grew ants as a hobby years ago when I was a teen, and recently after seeing the yearly Lasius Niger nuptial flight I thought hell, why not start again because ants are amazing and caught my first queen in a long while. I still remember antkeeping basics so you hopefully won't see me asking about test tube nests but depending on stuff and when/if I manage to grow a colony out of this lone Lasius queen I'd hope to see myself messaging here semi-actively.

Hello and welcome to the Ant Hill. Nice to see you and enjoy your visits here exploring the forum. I imagine ants have a short season with Finland being close to the Arctic circle, but you will find lots of help here plus photos and videos. We have lots of information on different ant species and very interesting journals.
