kopgary approached me a few weeks ago and asked if I'd like to go halves on Australian ants, so I decided to try this lovely species once more. My queen arrived today and is very active. Unlike the last one I kept, she has a small pile of eggs that she didn't eat on her long journey. Gary fed her a few fruit flies before sending her on to me and she's clearly been chewing at them. I'm looking forward to seeing how well she does! If she had eaten her brood I might've moved her to a bamboo test tube, but for now I think I'll add a small amount of sand to make it easier for her to walk around. Plus it will aid her larvae in spinning cocoons later. As always, feel free to comment!

Queen is still doing okay and has eaten a few crickets. I haven't seen any larvae just yet.
