Hi!
L. niger flew a few weeks ago. They do this every year. Everything was normal. Until NOW! Today I saw what appeared to be a SECOND L. niger nuptial flight! Is this normal? Uncommon? Rare? Unheard of? IMPOSSIBLE? I mean, what's the point of having two flights on the same STREET for gods sake? Surely they exhausted their supplies of elates on the first one. Any response will be appreciated. Unless it's abusive or something, of course. Thanks!

No they often send out a second flight after the first, as they keep some young alates back in case to ensure the colony has success with new fertile queens. It also depends on the weather
