Currently I am only keeping journals on my ants which are not native to Britain, even though I do have a small Lasius niger colony founded by a single queen picked up from last years nuptial flights. Sadly my Tetramorium caespitum colony didn't last long and died out for some odd reason, but this year I hope to start a few Lasius flavus colonies going and it would be nice to get a colony or 2 of Myrmica rubra if I were around for their mating flights. Anyone who wishes to make comments on members journals may do so; but please only post them in this sub-board which is the appropriate place provided for this reason. This will then leave members journals clear of unwanted clutter posts, with mainly their own posts about whatever ants they are keeping. Thanks for your co-operation to help keep this ant hill clean and tidy

New members who have recently arrived and found the Ant Hill will probably wish to keep journals on the ants they keep? We actively encourage those that wish to keep as many journals on their individual ant species, to make a new thread for each journal You only need to make 1 thread for comments or make one for each species if you wish. However, some members wish to keep their journals personal to themselves. In respect for this we have this sub-board, where any member who doesn't want his journals cluttered up with comments may ask other members to only post comments on their ants on here, as it was made for that purpose. To get other members to post comments away from your journal(s), just add a link to the thread you have on this sub-board You will notice I keep all my own journals on my own board, and members cannot post on my journals; but I do have a comments sub-board create for any questions you may have, or feedback you might want to leave. I always appreciate any input which helps me to keep my own ants healthy and strong, as interaction between all members of the Ant Hill makes for happy ant lovers; and perhaps more importantly, happy and contented ants being kept in captivity as pets or for study purposes So don't feel offended if you post a comment on a members journal and it is moved, as unless a member has no objections to other members posting on his/her journal, then we do ask that all journal comments be made on the sub-boards provided please! Thanks for your co-operation and enjoy keeping and reading those ant journals

The journals comments sub-board has now been moved to under the personal journals. Archived journals remain at the top of these sub-boards, and members who have been given their own sub-board are under the archives, but now will be seen above the comments.
