My nephew wanted some of them last summer and still has box he made for them, don't know if I should get him some. Send me a PM if he still wants some, as I will be selling them much, much cheaper than £10 for a pair. He could probably buy 7 or 8 for that price including the P&P from me. I'll have to ask him first and hope he looks after them.

Jen has just returned from walking our Lhasa Apso dog Bobby, and came back with a bag full of fresh bramble. We have just had fun cleaning out the big tank which is home to our largest bark stick insects; and some of these babies have grown so big they are almost adult size already. All the original ones were brown/black/white in colour, but many of the new ones are various mixed shades of green and very lovely to look at. Maybe I can ask Jen to take more photos of this lot, as their camouflage is absolutely amazing ;D

I don't think I have never heard of Bark Babies. I assume they are a type of stick insect? They have some weird and wonderful Latin name we have forgotten, but Bark Babies is the nickname Jen gave them as they look exactly like strips of tree bark

Yet another generation of baby bark stick insects are hatching out, as 5 have recently hatched from their eggs over the past 48 hours, so another invasion is on its way into our home ;D

Hatching out at around 7 per day, there are now over 100 new baby barks. If anyone is interested in having some, please PM me as the adults came at £10 a pair; but I will sell 10 nymphs (about 1 month old) for just £7 which will include P&P. I will not be posting them out until next January as I don't like leaving live insects stuck in the Christmas post, in some cold sorting office for ages.

We have such a lot of these insects that I might have to consider using some as ant food. So if anyone wants to have some very cheap, please let me know as I'm sure they would love a new home. They are extremely easy to keep, as from just about 5 or 6 (males and females) will produce around 30 or more within a year.

We now have a large number of adults almost at mating age, so if anyone fancies owning a few of these interesting stick insects please PM Jen or myself.

Jenant and I had a fun game at 7.30 this morning. It was called "Hunt the Stick Insects" as last night the foam bung had dropped out from the rear of the lid on their tank, and this morning about 30 stick insects were all around our kitchen diner. When you've just got up and your eyes aren't focusing properly, it isn't easy finding insects that blend in with their surrounding, as they were on the wooden blinds and plants in our windows, as well as hiding on the tops of cupboards or under ornaments. ;D Hunt the Stick Insects is a great game, but it doesn't mean we've found them all yet.

I've had a similar experience to this, and I agree it's a lot of fun! Luckily I found all of mine before too long. I really like these critters as they seem to have a mischievousness about them!

Once again we have hundreds of baby stick insects of this lovely species. www.phasmidsincyberspace.com/LamponiusGuerini.htmlEggs are hatching out at the rate of 10 a day, and already the babies are feeding well on bramble leaves. If anyone wants any, I do sell them extremely cheap, as the adults did cost me £10 for a pair; but I will sell young nymphs at only a fraction of what I paid for a pair of adults, at only £5 for 10 and the price does include P&P too. So if any UK members want any, please PM me; and I will arrange to send you some of these. Here are photos of what they are like when fully grown. Attachments:
