The video at the top of the forum is the Messor barbarus, the grey tank colony and the orange tank colony, both about 4-5yrs old now. They both prove a challenge to film with the lids off especially if they detect you breathing Messors going about their business

For the same reasons you probably do, I always find myself holding my breath or breathing through my nose whenever I'm viewing my ants with the lid off. Your Messors always seem to be plotting ways of escape, only to be foiled whenever you spot the workers/majors taking a look around outside. ;D One day, a neighbour might well wake up to find some of them in the house.
