Every time I have been out with the dog today, I have been soaked to the skin and that includes coming home from work on my bike My coat has been so soaked through, I have just thrown it at the tumble drier each time On getting my coat back out of the hot drum, I turned around to find one persian cat , Dylan sitting inside, with the other one, Chester climbing in to join him It's a good job I noticed them before I shut the door, as it is one of those digital ones and it was still programmed to switch on

They very often climb in the drier, but I have to drag them out by the scruff of their neck to get them out under protest

My mum tells me the story of when I was about 3, and she found me with my legs sticking out of the tumble drier, buried in clothes as we had no central heating in that old council flat (early 80s) and it was warm and soft with all the clothes, it gave a bit of a scare .
