Nearly every cocoon has eclosed now.. they seem to love sugar water which I give them a lot, but they are not too fond of insects at this time

I bought some wood chips from RANGE garden centre and put them in with the Rufa's... they have left the tube and made a new nest in the wood chips........... as you can't see them anymore... the live webcam will be changed to Pheidole Pallidula Live Cam until the colony grows a little... don't worry I'll keep the journal

I haven't seen much of the rufa's recently, they have been hiding in amongst the wood chips... hope they are ok

I am happy today, I released my Rufa Colony into my garden yesterday..... and today I came outside to check them out and there is already a small hole with a sort of small mound of soil and leaves around it. I am going to keep this journal up as they are only in my garden
