Hey, just thought I'd show some images of insects I've never seen before, down here in the south east! This is a Cardinal beetle, it's beautiful. I'm guessing named Cardinal as it looks like a catholic priest. Appeared during the heat we had a few weeks ago. And this is a Pale Tussock moth. I was abit freaked out at first, as it was hairy and had things sticking out the front of it. Then I discovered that, it has no proboscis so it cannot eat or hurt you, apart from its hairy nature which could cause your hands to rash if you pick it up. And those things sticking out is its front legs lol. sorry for poor quality photo's. ;D
