Poor old Bobby, our Lhasa Apso is only 60 in human years; but our vet has told Jen he needs 6 teeth removing as his gums are infected. He has already lost a few teeth, but at this rate he won't be able to eat any more hard dog biscuits and will need a soft geriatric diet. The vet has already nicknamed Bobby "Gummy Dog" poor old thing

The estimated fee for all the treatment will be close to £330! He is booked in the next Wednesday, unfortunately this breed do suffer with teeth. He has a permanent dry eye too, needing life long eye gel for moisture. He wanted to sell me a £45 anti-inflammatory ointment which lasts a month, and that would be every month I have opted for an eye gel (carbomer ingredient) which was £7 for 3 on the net, or £7 for 1 at the vets I actually showed him what I had bought, and he agreed it is the same stuff they sell, only theirs is re- branded for animals. I thought the vets equivalent would be stronger but he said not, so it just goes to show you

hope he gets well, Also you'll have to look out for him with eating stuff in garden or on walks. He will have a sore mouth for about a week, and will need antibiotics and pain killers; but as he never picks up anything on his walks or in the garden, we won't have to worry about that Shane. Bobby likes to eat the cats food, but that is soft; and he loves eating cheese and chicken, so it just hard dog biscuits he probably will not be able to eat

Well, just brought Bobby home from the vets. He has survived having 8 teeth removed, most of his chewers have now gone, £324 He shot out of that vets like a rocket, and has now collapsed in a heap at home with his tongue hanging out. Waiting for the bus outside Chichester cathedral, I spotted loads of mated niger queens running about, always a time when I have no pots on me, typical.
