We get people joining us here, yet they don't become an active member as they fail to activate their account. To view all of this forum, which is the biggest Ant Forum in Britain with an ant loving community worldwide, you do need to be fully active to see all the hidden parts which you cannot see as a guest alone. We have both amateur and professional ant experts who love to share their knowledge, including James C. Trager and the famous Mark Moffett who wrote the book Adventures Among Ants, and we are a very friendly group of people who love to help others to learn about ants and other insects. So if you feel bored, and you and your friends want a really interesting hobby, then join the best and JOIN ANT HILL WORLD, as we really go that extra mile to help all our members and never treat anyone as childish or poke fun at their lack of knowledge. Being a part of our community means something to us here, as we value our members highly and will always treat them with the respect they deserve, regardless of age or what they may know, or not know about ants or life in general.

If you are an active member who visits AHW weekly or daily, but haven't ever posted; even if you've been a member for a long time, do please say hello and introduce yourself, as we don't bite or sting on the Ant Hill unless you've done something to really deserve it. So do post and become part of our community, as it is your input that makes the forum alive and bustling, just like a real ant hill which is what all of us love to see. If any of our members wish to add their own comments here, then please do and let visitors know how you feel about being a part of this ant loving community.

In my opinion this forum is simply fantastic. I do not believe there is any British website or forum that can rival the ant hill. The wealth of knowledge contained in this forum is huge. It is the ideal place for beginners and experienced ant keepers to be part of community of like minded people. So a big thanks to Jen and wood for all the hard work.

However activity does slow down in the winter, less ants most colonies are in hibernation there isn't much to talk about.

Hello, I think this forum is great. I hope to learn a lot from you and share my experiences as an ant keeper. My name is Marisol, and I´m from Spain. Hi Marisol and welcome to the Ant Hill. The only Spanish ants I know a lot about are Messor barbarus, so it will be nice to hear what species you keep. You will find more of the forum is opened to you as you post, so enjoy your visits and have fun exploring the place.

Let me just say that being an active member of this forum is the best thing ever, as everyone is so helpful and friendly, and even kids are treated with the same respect as adult members. I would highly recommend ant lovers to join here as it is fun, yet takes the ant keeping hobby very serious for help and advice for all.
