Any journals NOT kept updated after a period of 6 months will now be archived. Note that these ant journals cannot be posted on again by their owner or any other members if they are locked, so if you do keep journals on your ants and cannot be bothered to post about if they are still alive or have died, why make a journal in the first place, as these are meant to read like a diary of events concerning your ants; and need to be posted on at least once a month as long as the colony remains alive and healthy. If you have been keeping a colony which has died out, please ask a staff member to either lock your journal, or to move it into the archives, as journals which are not posted on for months become boring, sterile and non-productive. If you don't use it, you lose it. Please Note :- The exception will be during hibernation times, when we do not expect anyone keeping ants which hibernate to post for the winter period.

Unless an archived journal is moved here and locked, any member with the minimum rank of Ant Larvae can now post on them. If you no longer have the ants alive and wish to discontinue your journal(s), then please ask for those journals to be locked as you can start new ones in the journals board.

All ant journals which have come to an end owing to the colony dying out will be locked. They will be placed into the archive, and as they are locked topics members can no longer post on them, but they are there to be read and offer information on the ant species that the journal was made for for by its original owner.
