We took Katy for her booster today, and as we haven't got around to having her micro chipped yet, the vet said he is doing them free through the dogs trust. Looking at their site, they are micro chipping free at their centers or through participating vets. I have Bess and Bobby to have it done yet, to be law in Wales by 2015 and England 2016. They were charging £30 or 20 if I was having them neutered, last year, so to get them free is a bonus especially at the vets! chipmydog

They are adorable. Our bulldog is going to give birth soon and I can't wait for them to be born. One problem though. With her being a British bulldog it is hard for them to give birth so she needs a caesarean but they are £800. An emergency caesarean costs £450 but they are both really expensive and if she doesn't have one the puppies and her could die. Sorry for going off topic.

Vets are never cheap, Bobby is our next check up in 3 weeks, I dread it, because he is the oldest and his teeth are usually the issue.
I managed to solve the dry eye situation by buying Lumecare gel on line for half the price the vets sells it for. I was cheeky and showed my vet, he said I could use it and it was the same as they sold. A lot of human stuff is used for animals. But the vets don't tell you, hoping you are going to pay out. I have to bathe and gel Bobbys eye every couple of hours to keep it right.
Like teeth, I don't suppose the op is covered by insurance?

It'll be great if you can post pictures once they're here!

There are 2 participating vets nearby and it turns out that my mam and dad already knew about that scheme and they were going to get her chipped before I told them.
