Does anyone have any recommendation for a fairly cheap camera that can take nice close up macro shots?

Hello sbeone,
do not get disheartened if you do not crack Macro first few 100+ times. I class myself as a pro (I live off weddings and portrait shoots) BUT I have not mastered Macro. Probably best to start trying to shoot the nest, as not a lot of movement in there. Although I have had some good shots I still have not managed a decent image!
Hopefully attached is my Camponotus Laterallis in her test tube. I took it with a 'hair light', 2 flashes and and macro light F5.6 at about 200sec ISO 100.. That is the best I have done thus far. However please remember I used kit I use for my job and I paniced incase all the flashes would simply incinerate her! Best light to use is natural light. Near a window (not direct sunlight). Practice on small unmoving objects (like Queens). The only other advice would be do not leave the Queen in the sun or under a light for too long.
