Nice videos woodant, they're crazy looking insects. They are more a cross between a stick insect and a leaf insect. I imagine in the wild in Australia they could be hard to see in the trees and would blend into the foliage. They grow to about 7 inches, so our biggest one is not even half grown yet.

Asiletto was right about the young males, as this one has just shed its skin (above stuck to a leaf) and now has a fine pair of long wings. Sadly the smallest of these died the other day, but we still have 2 males and 3 females.

Good to see they are laying eggs. Doesn't seem that long since you got them as eggs themselves and then as babies.

Perhaps it's the food, they eat bramble all the time.

At the moment we are finding a 7 eggs a day, and so far have collected about 40. The 2 males have the choice of the 3 big females and continue to mate with the largest 2, although the third female is now big enough to lay eggs too from the size of her.

Piles more eggs when I cleaned them out this morning. Must be over 20 at least, homes will have to be found in the future either as eggs or new hatchlings.

All these eggs from just 3 mating females and 2 males, and they haven't finished as they are just getting started. Jen must have taken out close on 40 eggs this morning, and as you can see the total is rising.

It's cleaning out day again and time for fresh bramble to feed on. One of the adult females has died, but has left her legacy of dozens more eggs behind as Jen is picking up loads more. We are getting around 70 eggs each time they are collected, and some smaller eggs are being found too which means another stick insect species is starting a new generation.

My eggs still haven't hatched, a few more weeks to go I think Good to see yours are doing well though Keep them warm and just barely damp, as mine took about 17 weeks to hatch when I first got them; and out of 18 eggs I only got to raise 5 to mature breeding size, so give it time and be patient.
