Recently I have had sheep ticks one after the other on my 3 dogs. That dreadful time of year, despite Frontline and any other protections don't work. I have always used the tweezer method which is hit and miss, but I saw a video on ytube on the subject whereby a lad put his finger on the tick and firmly spun it round in a clockwise spin sending the tick totally dizzy and so releasing its hold. With the thumb and finger he quickly pinched it off and flushed it down the toilet. He spun his finger round for about 15 seconds, and he said after being shown this method used by the vets it is a god send. So, I have done this method twice now and again this morning, and I can honestly say after my apprehension of it not going to work, it does work and it is a brilliant easier way and less stressful for the dog.
