Most definitely getting the hang of the ant photography lark now Myrm. Really nice photos of your umbie worker Thank you Wood.
The only problem I find is that the macro focus has a very tight focussing spot so that part of the ant is out of focus. I have tried auto and manual zooms, but guess I need to tweak the camera settings to get the focus to include a wider field of focus.

I did ask a professional photographer mate of mine about this, and he said that even on the most expensive macro lenses they tend to focus on a certain spot or area of subject. Sometimes the result can mean the farther out, or too close you go on the image, it blurs more; or it does what is called a vignette, which puts a ring around the subject making only the exact place where the camera has focussed show the image clearly. Wish my dad was still around, as he was hot on photography, while it just confuses me.
