Two videos I took today of Monomorium pharaonis in my home. Pharoah ants are invading homes across London, UK.
These colonies reproduce by budding off and can have several Queens.

Let these girls into your home and you could end up with a super colony of hundreds of queens and several thousand workers. They can be very invasive, worse than any of our British native ants.

Hi Wood, Just to clarify, I don't keep these, I never would, but they have invaded my home...again! It's an on going problem for two years. We got them out, but they have re-appeared again! I have to admire their adaptability and stubborn nature... I would NOT recommend these little ladies to anyone to keep!!

Some people get all the luck!! I recall this species in my house in Cambodia. A house Gecko managed to get fried inside my electrical fly zapper. Next thing you know there's a foraging trail going down your wall. Any left out food and they were on it. I was using my ant keeping knowledge to keep them off everything. I even had a moat of oil going around the fruit bowl. They would get their moisture from the shower floor after it had been on.

I did not think you had invited them in to keep them, as I know from past experience how they can take over a large hospital, so an average house is no problem for them to invade.
