I received this colony on Friday from Antstore but was unable to have a proper meet and greet with her so she was left ìn the box in a warm dark room until further notice.
Yesterday I was able to have a good look at her and my what a beauty she is, I truly have missed this species. She arrived in a test tube set up with red acetate covering the tube to provide extra darkness along with 3 larvae. I fed her a crushed fly and immediately upon opening the tube she set upon lapping up the fly guts before dragging it whole into the tube.
I came home from work to find the fly has been dragged well clear of the tube but doesn't appear to be eaten, I may be mistaken as I can't see the signs. I'll return in a few days to feed her again and also some honey.

After over a month of constant feeding I am pleased to see that this young queen has produced her first nanitic. There appears to be newly laid eggs and 2 pupae ready to hatch soon.
I'll try to get a picture.
