I have decided to keep a colony of Herpegnathos venator for myself. They are being kept just now in one of our Ant Shop Slim nests and contains 13 in the colony. My first observation was at how they jump when you try to move them! Really love this primitive species and how they watch you with their good eye site!

I'm looking forward to this journal, venator are one of my favourite species, but I don't know if I am ready to keep them yet, they can be tricky! I can't wait to see how they respond to an acrylic nest, should be good for keeping mites away. Best of luck with these girls!

Hope they do well for you Dean. Another member kept this species, Cross Reference Journal Here as it makes for good reading, unfortunately Adam has taken the photos out, but the ytube works.

Good luck with your new colony colony Dean. A beautiful species, so primitive looking! Wasps without wings, their eyesight is superb. I will be following your journal, keep the updates coming!!
