I bought this queen 7th October and to be honest not much as been happening, she had 2 small larvae but in the first week decided to eat them so I just left her to it and a week or so later she laid a couple of eggs, the eggs have hatched but the larvae seem to not be growing and have been the same size for a month now. I have been thinking of feeding her but have read you don't need to until you have first workers not had any new eggs all seems very slow with this queen will include a couple of photos which will give an idea of how small the larvae are. Sorry for the poor photos they are not so clear when enlarged.

I have found that this species is fond of honey water, so you could offer her a droplet. A bit of egg yolk is good for feeding any larvae and may encourage her to lay eggs.

Hi could you close this thread please the queen never did end up raising the larvae, I did not disturb her often but checked once a week and found her dead which was a bit of a shock.
