I see that a member plans to sell ants on Ebay, but has not said about selling them here on this forum direct to others. Having used Ebay in the past, you can get ripped off if you are outbidded on an item, as you either end up paying over the odds for it or lose it altogether. If someone is going to sell ants at a set price, then they can also sell them here, as Ebay is not always a reliable source of trading I have found from past experience. Not that all Ebayers are rogues and cheats, but a few sadly are which can be annoying when you've paid out a small fortune and not received the goods So please, any members who join here and wishes to sell ants, give the rest of us a break and use this forum's ant selling board, as you will get plenty of customers for them from members of this Ant Hill

Your picking up on the chance of a seller not sending you the goods when you have paid. It's true it will sometimes happen, but that's not an excuse to give Ebay a bad reputation and those that sell Queens/Colonies on Ebay. I have bought Queens/Colonies many times from Ebay and they arrive promptly and the queen and workers and eggs are always healthy. That's why they set up the reputation system and the feedback system. If your going to buy from someone with a bad reputation and bad feedback, then it would be your own fault for buying them from that already stated unreliable source. I say 'You' and I'm sorry, I don't mean you yourself, but using you as an example. I'm sorry for picking at your post, but I believe, a few bad people, shouldn't put Ebay down. It could easily happen on this site from buying from another member. Sure that member would most likely be banned from the site, and the same would apply on Ebay and therefore it's exactly the same situation and there would be no need to bring Ebay down above all.
