I was just looking at my ants and I saw all the hairs on there gasters why have they got them why are ants hairy They use them like a mouse or cat or dog users there Whiskers for touching what they can't see but for a ant its behind. They feel with there gaster spiky hairs like when there dragging something backward they feel with they 2 back legs and gaster hairs so they don't end up stuck. Or if any ants are at back which they sense if they touching or they will tap there gaster so they move out of way, Or they may or she likes a groom and has a Itch she want others to help with which she will wiggle her gaster in a near by ants face which my messors do for grooming. they could also use them for other not yet discovered things to, Like a sense in weather like at times your hairs stick up on your arms when a thunder storms on its way, I bet a ant could sense that hours before a storm comes or rains with them hairs. But then again some ants are hairy or fairy almost like tarantula spiders.
