like a big escape proof tank and live bugs though out year so larva can feed on them as they don't hibernate and some heat even though they could live well with a room temperature environment, But better safe then sorry. As for over euros 400, you need to spend a little extra so you don't end up losing colony with them been expansive ants Says adults are vegetarian so didn't know what veges they like, but there larva suck all living juices out any bugs workers bring back for them. They are nice big ants too.

very good looking ant. why are they always so much money to buy I remember that ant selling web site that is no more had them for sale as well and I think his where £400-£500 why?

Believe I read somewhere once it's cause to collect them they travel to where they are mating (in this case Aussie) and the import and export licenses (there was a thread awhile back about export/import licenses) needed to get them out and into Europe, and it might put a novice off of going straight into non-European species (that last bits just my opinion).

I was just on ants kalytta and he has some new African ants also the antstore has a few new ants in as well.

the antstore has a few more ants in again also has anybody ever been to the antstore in Germany?. I'd like to go one day dose any one know how to find out what it would cost?I'm sure that you could do it in a day may be a cheap flight of by the euro star train. I went through the channel tunnel once to see my great granddads grave in France he died in ww1 any way the only customs was a man in a booth who only wanted to see your passport I could have had a car full of ants. ::)by the way 1018 members now in the last few weeks lots of people have joined up well done jenant/woodant.

well well well it's all been happening at the on line ant shops lately after months and months of nothing new it's happened again ants kalytta have even more new stock in .P.S it's my birthday in January [hint hint]
